In the performance I execute a ritual birth of a self-invented figure called "Überfrau" (germ. for "overwoman"). Überfrau is a reference to the concept of Übermensch by Nietzsche, a fantasy about a higher human being. In this sense, Überfrau represents a symbiosis of digital technology, militarism, primary archetypes and BDSM practices.
The performance begins with me being put in a full body bondage while assuming a cocoon-like position. While being tied on the crane, I am doused with black oil. A video is projected from my mouth by a mini video projector, showing the mating of butterflies in a dance. Subsequently, I am released from the bondage.
A helmet with an integrated video projector is put on me, a speaker is fixed to my back and I put on geisha shoes. So I go out into the street to the public and lead the audience behind me. From the helmet a video is projected onto the facades of the house, showing the vision of Überfrau. From the speaker my singing sounds: "I'm a survivor, I'm not gonna give up".
