The solo exhibition "Family Portrait", which took place during the artist-in-residence programme at Kunstarkaden Kempten in 2020, consists of two wall video projections ("Centaur" and "Hermaphodites' Wedding"), single-channel video on a screen ("Der Doppelgänger") and a 20-minute live performance.
"Der Doppelgänger" a life-size video portrait of the artist in a homemade costume that alludes to the aesthetics of intestines. At first glance, it seems that it is not a video, but a still image, however, upon closer inspection, one can see how the person in the video is slightly moving and breathing. Her face is composed of two different halves of the face: one half was shot frontally, the other as a half-profile. In particular, it is notice- able when the eyes do not blink synchronously. The work refers to the iconography and aesthetics of Old Netherlandish painting and Cubism.
The video "The Hermaphrodites' Wedding" stages a small wedding with doll-like figures and military equipment, referencing Jan van Eyck's painting "Arnolfini Wedding" and Jewish wedding customs.
